The mangalyaan team at ISRO launched its Mars orbiter mission in the year 2013. The recent movie
Mission Mangal based on the true story of the ISRO team seems to have ignited
the dreams of many aspirants. A decade ago the youth of the nation pursued
careers mainly in engineering, medicine, and Information Technology. However,
in recent years students have been able to move on from the traditional
educational degrees and pursue courses on subjects they are passionate about.
Many aspiring students across the nation have
become more confident and started enrolling themselves in the relevant degrees
that would enable them to pursue their dreams. It is important to enroll in the
right engineering degrees/ courses to pursue a career in aerospace. A relevant
degree from an educational institution like Invertis University would open a
multitude of career opportunities.
Invertis University has an array
of courses that would help students to pursue their aeronautical dreams in
various areas. Ph.D., M.Tech, B.Tech, in several specializations are available.
Let us look at a list of the courses and their details:
- Ph.D. - Available in both
full time and part-time courses which will be for two years and three
years duration respectively. It requires a minimum of 50% marks from a
relevant Master's degree and the admission would be through an entrance
exam.
- M.Tech
(Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Computer Science & Engineering) - A full-time postgraduate degree
course for two years. The course is designed to enable students to prepare
themselves for research in the future. The Gate score is the selection
criteria and requires students to have scored a minimum of 60% marks in
B.E/B.Tech from specializations like Computer Science, Information
Technology, Aeronautical, Automobile, Metallurgy, Material Science,
Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering.
- B.Tech (Electronics and Communication
Engineering) - The course is designed to enable the students to learn
concepts like microprocessors, digital hardware design, digital and
satellite communication. The entrance exam is the selection criteria for
this course. A minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 from subjects like
mathematics, physics chemistry/ computer science is a must for
eligibility.
- B.Tech (Electrical and Electronics
Engineering) - Electrical and Electronics subjects are applied in the
controlling and protecting of the electrical systems. IUCET merit/state
engineering entrance exam is considered for selection and a minimum of 50%
of marks in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry / Computer Science.
- B.Tech + MBA (Integrated) - A full-time degree
course for five years duration. The course is a mix of both technical and
managerial concepts. The curriculum is designed with an MBA in Operations
Management followed by engineering curriculum. The entrance exam of state
engineering exams is considered for selection criteria. A minimum of 50%
marks in 10+2 in Mathematics, physics, chemistry/computer science is a
must for eligibility.
- B.Tech + M.Tech( Integrated) - A full time
degree course for five years. This is a favorite among the students since
it saves them a year and gives them more learning in their desired field
of specialization. IUCET merit/state engineering entrance exam is
considered for selection and a minimum of 50% of marks in 10+2 with
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry / Computer Science.
A lateral entry by pursuing a polytechnic diploma
course with specializations like Civil Engineering, Computer Science
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and
Communication Engineering.
A degree/diploma in any of the above-mentioned
courses enables the aspirants to pursue their dream of making it big in the
aeronautical field.
