The Mechanical Engineering
Department of Invertis University arranged a special lecture on “Composite
Materials and Newer Technologies”. This lecture was conducted by experts and
was aimed at the ‘overall development of B. Tech, Best
M.Tech Computer Science and
Engineering College in Bareilly students/research scholars. A
prominent professor from IIT Roorkee, (Dr.) Kaushik Pal elaborated on the
crucial points of the topic and presented the modern world implementation of
new, innovative and next-generation materials. The undergraduate and
postgraduate students were given the real-world application of the topic and
what relevance it holds in today’s industry. Dr. Pal gave a detailed overview
of polymer composites and the new innovations in the field.
Wikipedia defines composite
material as ‘a material produced from two or more than two elements which have
different physical and chemical properties and the material so produced is has
a mixture of properties from its constituent properties.’ The relevance of this
material is rapidly increasing in several leading industries. With new
technologies being incorporated, composite materials are right now in great
demand. Students pursuing Best
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering College in Bareilly must know the
real-world importance of such materials and how this knowledge would help them
progress in their careers. The expert lecture was specially arranged to give
students who are pursuing their graduation or post-graduation in Best
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering College in Bareilly an idea on the
scope of research in the composite materials aspect.
The motive of this expert
lecture was to mentor the students by industry’s best. Invertis University’s
aimed to create an interactive session between the experts and the students so
that the later can get an idea of the industrial operations and the ongoing
developments.
Speaker at the event, Professor
Kaushik Pal started from the very basics of composite materials. His primary
focus was elaborate on the topic of: ‘Electrochemical Hydrogen storage of
ZrO2.rGO nanocomposite ‘. Professor Pal made a special power point presentation
to help students understand the chemical structures and uses of the materials.
The lecture was conducted under
the supervision of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Y.D.S. Arya, the Dean of
Engineering Department, Prof. R. K. Shukla, and the Head of the Department of
Mechanical Engineering, Ajitanshu Mishra and the Convenor, Dr. Gaurav Agarwal.
The lecture event organized on
February 27th, 2019 (Wednesday) in seminar hall-2., and was a great success
only because of the sincere dedication of Professor Pal who gave the students a
vivid description on application of composite materials in the industry. He was
felicitated by the Invertis
University. His presentation was well appreciated by the students who
found it extremely enlightening.
